When does my child return their take home book bag?
Students will bring home a take home book every Tuesday and Friday. They may keep the books for the days in between to practice.
When does my child return their reading log?
The reading logs are to stay in the take home folders and should be filled out and returned with the take home book every Tuesday and Friday. The purpose of the reading log is to confirm that your child has read the book at home. They receive an extra reward punch in their prize cards for home practice. They do not need to keep track of other books on this particular reading log.
How long is my child expected to be in the reading program?
This is a fluid program. As your child demonstrates progress toward the goals we have set, the classroom teacher and I will determine what type of support will be most helpful. We will communicate with you throughout the course of the year regarding your child’s progress and participation the program.
